ACMA proposes radio spectrum changes in Albury and Wagga Wagga
The ACMA proposal includes spectrum adjustments to enable commercial radio station 2AY to convert from AM to FM transmission in the Albury RA1 license area. This involves moving the 2REM community radio service to 90.5 MHz to free up the 107.3 MHz frequency. Additionally, a new FM infill transmitter is planned for 2REM at Culcairn.
In the Wagga Wagga license area, the plan allows commercial broadcaster 2WG to simulcast in both AM and FM. The proposal also provides spectrum for two 2AAA community radio FM infill transmitters at Ladysmith and Uranquinty. It is expected that 2WG will commit to maintaining AM transmission for a minimum period of 5 years via a deed poll to prevent coverage loss.

Sage firmware update requires ETRS Form One revision
Stations updating their Sage Alerting Systems Digital ENDEC 3644 with mandatory firmware version 96-2 must also amend their FCC ETRS Form One submissions. The free update patches compromised eMudhra root certificates and is required for U.S. users running Rev96 or Rev96-1.
The FCC Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau stated in a public notice that participants must update their ETRS Form One to reflect the software version used on the nationwide Emergency Alert System test date of Nov. 17. Although the initial filing deadline was Oct. 30, the online portal remains open for these modifications.

FCC extends NCE FM translator filing deadline to Nov. 23
The Federal Communications Commission has extended the filing deadline for the ongoing noncommercial educational FM translator window to Monday, Nov. 23 at 6 p.m. Eastern Time. The deadline was originally scheduled to close on Nov. 17. The extension follows technical failures and reports of unprecedented filing demand.
The Media Bureau announced the extension after the Licensing and Management System was offline for approximately seven hours on Thursday, preventing the public and broadcast licensees from viewing or filing applications. The outage followed a data leak regarding confidential translator filings. The commission noted that the filing freeze for certain reserved-band and non-reserved-band minor modification applications for low-power FM, FM translator, and FM booster stations will remain in effect through the new deadline. The Media Bureau stated that applications submitted after the deadline will be dismissed without further consideration.

AGCOM proposes new hybrid TV and streaming rules
The Italian regulator AGCOM has opened a consultation regarding an overhaul of television authorisation and channel-numbering rules. Decision 247/26/CONS, adopted on 21 October and published on 3 November, addresses the integration of digital terrestrial broadcasting with internet-delivered services. The proposal requires viewers to actively choose when moving from DTT into internet-based services via an on-screen notice. Under the draft rules, existing authorisations would cover channel delivery through interactive applications like HbbTV and DVB-I. The plan reserves channel numbers 650–699 for local broadcasters offering third-party IP services and 950–999 for national offerings.
The draft specifies a requirement of at least 24 hours of weekly terrestrial programming. Proposed application-processing charges are €9,000 for satellite and other covered linear services, and €7,200 for on-demand services. Interested parties have 45 days from publication to submit responses.

Sky expands Real Time viewing to all Sky Sports channels
Sky has expanded its low-latency Real Time viewing option to the entire Sky Sports portfolio on Sky Glass and Sky Stream. The expanded lineup covers channels 920–933, including HD versions of Main Event, Premier League, Football, Sky Sports+, Cricket, Golf, F1, Tennis, News, NFL, Racing and Mix. Main Event and F1 are also available in UHD Real Time versions. Customers can use the “Watch in Real Time” button or navigate directly to the dedicated channel numbers.
The Real Time branding was introduced in June 2026 ahead of the FIFA World Cup. This expansion follows sports viewing features announced in August, such as Your Multiview and Sports Hub. The Real Time technology is intended to reduce the delay between live action and the screen rather than eliminate it.
